Father’s Day

June 15, 2008 at 11:56 pm (Family, Love)

I have a pretty daughter,
she is my best friend;
and if I ever lost her,
I’d search in all the land.

At times she has a problem,
her tummy hurts a lot.
I ask her if she’s eaten,
and she’ll say “I forgot!”

My little girl is awesome,
she’s pretty, funny, and smart.
And when she feels creative,
she creates amazing art.

When daddy makes her breakfast,
she eats ever last drop,
and when she’s done munching,
she’ll even help clean-up!

She’s daddy’s little girl
through and through and through.
So though today is Father’s Day,
this poem is for both of you.

Because of her you’re a father,
because of you she’s here.
Now you could happily look forward to
a great Father’s Day every year.

So baby girl and husband,
I’m so glad you’re in my nest.
Happy Father’s Day to both of you.
You deserver the very best!
